Kevin Webb is a co-owner of his business with his father Ron Taylor. Both Kevin and his father experience multiple disabilities. Before starting his business, Kevin found himself hurt and frustrated though each firing in jobs he did not clearly desire or choose and internalized being fired as a personal defeat. Kevin had experienced multiple frustrating and unsuccessful employment experiences prior to his successful business in sheltered employment (which he strongly disliked and refuses to ever return to), and local stereotypical jobs for people with disabilities (i.e. janitorial) employment failures. He then spent years at home on his family ranch not sure what to do in such a small community.

Kevin and his father were invited to participate in a statewide project to expand self-employment opportunities and supports in Kentucky through an inventive partnership between VR, the Governor's Council, State and local SBDC's, the University of Kentucky and Griffin-Hammis Associates. Kevin and Ron's business was funded by VR and the Governor's council with additional funding support though Griffin-Hammis Associates assistance in developing a fully funded PASS exceeding $20,000 from SSA and $9000 from other sources. His business ownership has now renewed his energy and enjoyment of work. During his grand opening, state senators and other state and local officials, key business leaders, and many friends and supporters attended as Kevin and his father opened their new business.
